We have acquired the environmental management system
standard “ISO14001”.

We, Taihei Chemical Industrial engage in business activities with a view of environmental conservation on a global basis.
In fact, we have acquired the environmental management system standard “ISO14001” established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and are implementing correct understanding and quick response to environmental issues for social contribution.

At the Nara Plant, we are working to protect the environment of Ikaruga town, where history and culture are alive, at our office near Horyuji Temple, a world cultural heritage site.At the Kasugai Plant, we are working to protect the environment in the Sanshi Suimei area, which stretches from the Owari Hills to Ise Bay.

Recognizing that our mission is permanent environmental protection based on ISO14001, both of our Plants develop business activities and strive for environmental management by all employees.The environmental policy is set below.

Environmental policy

  • 01.

    Taihei Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. Nara Plant manufactures and researches and develops pharmaceutical raw materials, food additives, cosmetic raw materials, industrial chemicals, etc., based on the company motto of “We value credit and always manufacture products that benefit the world.” We will contribute to society by giving consideration to the conservation of the global environment.

    We will strive to prevent environmental pollution while accurately grasping the impact of our business activities on the environment and continuously improving our environmental management system.

  • 03.

    We will comply with environment-related laws and regulations and other requirements agreed by us, and strive for environmental management.

  • 04.

    As the goal of environmental conservation activities, we will actively promote energy saving and resource saving activities, and strive to develop and promote environmentally friendly products. We will also strengthen communication by disclosing our environmental policy.

  • 05.

    Through environmental education and local environmental activities, we will make employees aware of our environmental policy and strive to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection through education.

  • 06.

    We will verify the results of activities according to the environmental policy, regularly review the environmental management system to improve environmental performance, be aware of the importance of complying with the requirements, and strive to continuously improve its effectiveness.

Environmental policy

  • 01.

    We will strive to prevent environmental pollution while accurately grasping the impact of our business activities on the environment and continuously improving our environmental management system.

  • 02.

    We will comply with environment-related laws and regulations and other requirements agreed by us, and strive to manage the environment so that we can comply with environmental standards that tightened more than before.

  • 03.

    We will strive to save energy, resources, and reduce our own emissions and wastes, and promote greening of the plant.

  • 04.

    To achieve and maintain this environmental policy, we set environmental objectives, implement them according to our action plan, and review them regularly.

  • 05.

    We will make all employees aware of the contents of the environmental policy and strive to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection through education.
    In addition, we will inform our suppliers, contractors, and affiliated companies of our environmental policies and initiatives, and request their understanding and cooperation.

  • 06.

    This environmental policy will be widely announced to the general public.

Initiatives

Efforts to prevent air
pollution and water pollution

Wastewater treatment equipment (Kasugai Plant)

We, Taihei Chemical Industrial are working to prevent air pollution that can cause public hazard and deterioration of the living environment and water pollution in public water areas. We also comply with the legal and regulatory values of the national and local governments related to air and water quality.

Both plants strive to prevent air pollution by converting the fuel of the entire plant into less polluting city gas, and process the emitted phosphorus until it meets the standards set by the Ministry of the Environment.

Promotion of recycling

Taihei Chemical Industrial is actively recycling plastic and polyethylene film waste. We are working to reduce the amount of paper brought to the disposal site by separating the polyethylene film and paper used in raw material bags, etc.
